About Great Autos...

Great Autos Of Yesteryear celebrates its 27th anniversary this year. We now have over 1000 members with a combined collection of over 3000 cars !

Originally founded by Ted Davidson and Herb Rothman, Great Autos was born from the idea that there could be a car club for "the rest of us."

In their travels within various make-specific clubs, Ted and Herb made many friends with like interests, and the idea for a car club that welcomes all makes and models of collector and special-interest cars was born.

On September 25, 1983, about 60 friends gathered to form a car club with the motto, "Out of the Garage...Into the Streets."

We hold numerous events, often twice per month throughout the year. The annual West Coast Meet, held in July, brings together clubs from the Western United States as well as members from all over the world.

Our club is headed by an all volunteer board of directors. Area coordinators provide the backbone; organizing events and communicating with members in the Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County, Palm Springs, Inland Empire, San Diego and other Southern California areas. We also have coordinators in Washington State, New Mexico, Oregon and Arizona.

We are proud to be active in many community affairs as well as hosting an annual Concours d'Elegance event which raises money for charitable organizations.
