About this event
Join us this month for a trip to the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles. It’s been quite a while since we’ve toured the museum, and they have several exciting new exhibitions. One of these is “Totally Awesome” which explores the Cars and Culture of the ’80s and ‘90s. According to their website “This exhibit showcases some of the most spectacular vehicles between 1980 and 1999—from visionary concepts to iconic production models, legendary screen stars, and high-performance race cars-all set against the backdrop of fashion, media and music that defines a truly unforgettable era.”
Other notable exhibits include: “Performance & Prestige: A history of Aston Martin,” “The Wedge Revolution: Cars on the Cutting Edge” and ”The Cars of Film and Television.”
But wait, there’s more! Our day will also include a special guided tour of “The Vault.” Hidden beneath the museum is an additional vault collection of more than 300 of some of the most iconic and rare cars in automotive history.
We have arranged a special rate for the club of only $40 that will include both the museum and the guided vault tour. You must preregister for this event at greatautos.org. Parking in the museum structure will be an additional fee; you pre-pay this parking fee now for your group and receive a discounted rate of $18 or pay $24 at the gate. There will also be plans for lunch options that you will pay that day as well. Plan to arrive at 10:00 AM. We will park and “tire kick” and then enter the museum as a group.
Parking pre-payment is set up where a single registration group assumes 1 car. If you are paying here for multiple attendees who plan to drive separately, please have them register separately.
