I have returned as the Las Vegas Area Coordinator, and I hope to grow the area. I have been a member of Great Autos for 26 years and I have served on the board as President, AC Coordinator in Palm Springs and Las Vegas and planned a couple of our Concours Shows. I am heavily involved in the car culture here and it is huge.
There are car shows almost every weekend and cruise ins several times a week. There are cars here in Las Vegas that fit into the styles most liked by GA members, plus an astounding collection of customs, low riders, hot rods, muscle cars and the like. Numerous car clubs exist here, Mopar, Mustang, Corvette, Charger, Cadillac, you name it, it is here in this area of 2.3 million people.
For thirteen years, I have produced the Annual Injured Police Officers Fund Classic Car and Emergency Vehicle Show which is held at Veterans Memorial Park in Boulder City, “on the grass and under the trees.” This year’s show was March 23rd and besides 265 cars, celebrities Adrian Amed, Erik Estrada and Michael Braun drew a fantastic crowd.
Las Vegas is very gay friendly, and you can be comfortable at any show in the valley. I would like to keep in touch with GA members who live here, and I ask that you let your friends know we exist here.
